NewPage products are manufactured to basis weight, not to caliper standards. Caliper and PPI are approximations only, except for 7 pt and 9 pt minimums for postal applications. For projects where caliper is critical, please contact your NewPage representative for more information on a specific product.
The caliper measurements for NewPage book papers are based on the actual targets for these products—all book grades are specially manufactured to a consistent caliper and PPI.
