The NewPage Duluth mill looks over the city’s busy international seaport on St. Louis Bay, just south of the western-most end of Lake Superior, opposite Superior, Wisconsin. With 43,067 acres, Duluth features 25 miles of shoreline along the lake 23 city parks, 8 hiking trails, 45 miles of snowmobile trails, and numerous creeks, rivers and waterfalls. Only two miles south of NewPage, you can access the Willard Munger Trail, a popular biking, in-line skating or snowmobiling path, which runs more than 60 miles through scenic terrain to Hinckley. Duluth's landmark Aerial Lift Bridge, the world's largest and fastest lift bridge, is five miles north of the mill.
