As a NewPage intern, you learn full time because you’re given full-time responsibilities. NewPage provides valuable career experience and training to college students in such fields as:
- Engineering
- Finance
- Human Resources
- Information Technology
- Marketing Communications
Besides daily responsibilities and projects, our corporate interns are trained on valuable NewPage methodology and processes. These include Paper Knowledge seminars and an introduction to Lean Six Sigma.
Engineering co-op students in our Coated Paper Engineering Co-op program take a variety of roles throughout the mill. They work in such areas as:
- Power and Recovery
- Maintenance
- Pulping
- Process Control
Like our corporate interns, they participate in Lean Six Sigma process improvement teams. Working closely with supervisors and other experienced professionals, they also get hands-on experience in testing, analysis and problem solving.
Requirements
You must have completed your freshman year in a related field to qualify for a co-op or intern position. Skills, competencies and experience that are highly valued on the NewPage team include:
